John Erstling, M.Ed.
President
John Erstling is a progressive, creative and results-driven leader with twenty years of fundraising experience directing comprehensive development programs and capital campaigns.
Prior to founding Inspire Philanthropy, John provided executive fundraising leadership within the healthcare and education sectors at Baptist Health, Community Hospice & Palliative Care, Emory University, and The Bolles School. He has built, led and managed successful teams, introduced innovative fundraising programs, and completed successful capital campaigns raising more than $200 million in revenue and charitable support.
John believes building authentic relationships with donors and volunteers is paramount to fundraising success and can be achieved through a powerful mission, compelling vision, imaginative communication, and the leveraging of networks. The principle, Where Involvement Leads To Investment, has guided John’s approach to fundraising throughout his career.
Chaz Runfola, MPA
Senior Consultant
Chaz Runfola is a collaborative nonprofit leader with more than ten years of donor engagement and fundraising experience. Chaz has led diverse development initiatives from annual giving campaigns to corporate partnership programs with an emphasis on long-term organizational sustainability.
Before joining Inspire Philanthropy, Chaz served as Senior Director of Development at The DONNA Foundation where he oversaw development strategies to assist those living with breast cancer. Previously, Chaz worked at the University of North Florida where he engaged donors and raised funds to support scholarships and educational resources. In 2023, he was President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals FL First Coast Chapter.
Chaz values the important role nonprofits play in helping people, animals, and the environment. He encourages everyone to get involved to support charities!
Cliff Evans, OFS, MA
Consultant, Planned and Legacy Giving
Cliff Evans has a passion for planned and legacy giving and has helped many organizations in the nonprofit sector build successful planned giving programs.
Most recently, Cliff developed the legacy program as Planned Giving Officer at The Catholic Foundation, Diocese of St. Augustine. Leading the creation of a multi-channel marketing program, Cliff cultivated thousands of donor contacts and secured estate gift plans that exceed $30 million in disclosed value. Cliff has also served as Director of Development at Pine Castle.
With over twenty years in executive leadership, Cliff brings a significant background in nonprofit marketing and fund development. “Sharing all I’ve learned from promoting planned giving is very meaningful for me. Engaging organizations seeking to build capacity and ensure sustainability is an objective that will pay dividends for generations to come!”, states Cliff.
Hamsa Ramanujam, MS
Consultant, CRM/Database Management
Hamsa Ramanujam has worked with nonprofit CRM Fundraising Software such as Raiser's Edge and Bloomerang for over ten years. Hamsa is skilled at applying her analytical skills to identify trends, develop key insights, and present recommendations.
Hamsa has advanced experience in all levels of donor data management including gift entry, querying, reporting, designing dashboards, and ensuring data accuracy. She began her career at Community Hospice & Palliative Care forming a well-rounded awareness of the challenges facing nonprofits. Most recently, she is the sole Database Administrator for Daniel Kids. She helped in their transition from Raiser’s Edge to Bloomerang and established data processes that assist in all aspects of fundraising.
