Groundwork Jacksonville

Campaign Counsel, Executive Search, and Development Performance

Groundwork Jacksonville (GWJax) is leading the neighborhood planning, design and construction of the Emerald Trail, a 30+ mile linear park system that will encircle Jacksonville’s urban core. This ambitious, high-impact urban infrastructure investment relies on a leveraged balance of public and private funding to keep the project moving forward. Inspire Philanthropy has been a trusted partner for GWJax providing strategic counsel as the organization launched its development program and executive search services to fill key staffing roles. Inspire has also been instrumental in guiding the campaign to support and fund trail design. Recent gifts of $1M, $500,000, and $250,000 have been received including a strategic investment from Baptist Health, whose shared vision for a healthy and connected community, led to their support as highlighted in this article.

Jacksonville Historical Society

Campaign Counsel

The Jacksonville Historical Society (JHS) is in the early stages of a capital campaign to restore the Florida Casket Factory, a three-story, 13,500-square-foot building in downtown Jacksonville that will become the centerpiece of the Jacksonville History Center and a place for the community to learn and experience who we are and what our history informs about our future. JHS invited Inspire Philanthropy to outline the vision and plan for its campaign and produce collateral that effectively tells a compelling story and shares the campaign vision, objectives, and fundraising goal. A ceremonial groundbreaking for the new Jacksonville History Center was held in October 2023. Learn more about the new center.

Riverside Presbyterian Day School

Executive Search

Riverside Presbyterian Day School (RPDS) was seeking to fill a pivotal fundraising role with the hiring of a new Chief Development Officer.  RPDS engaged Inspire Philanthropy to conduct an executive search and identify a talented professional to join the development team. The process included extensive regional recruitment and qualification of potential candidates, completion of preliminary interviews and evaluation, and oversight of the final interview process. The result was the successful placement of a seasoned and highly effective major gifts professional with extensive experience in educational fundraising.

Goodwill Industries of North Florida

Foundation Launch

Goodwill Industries of North Florida (GW) is committed to creating a stronger culture of philanthropy across the organization and out in the community. While GW is well-known, it has not emphasized or developed a fundraising program that targets charitable gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations. Inspire Philanthropy was engaged to support the development of a long-term fundraising strategy for the organization. Specifically, Inspire was asked to complete a community planning study to launch the North Florida Goodwill Foundation as the philanthropic arm of the organization. Community interviews were conducted to assess GW’s reputation, introduce the Foundation, and generate excitement for the organization’s signature mission programs. An overall summary of findings highlighting positive factors identified during the study, obstacles to fundraising success, and strategies to successfully launch the newly named Foundation were presented.
